Program Overview

Greater San Diego Academy’s K-8 Program gives families the best of both worlds: flexible learning at home, plus the option to join us on campus for hands-on enrichment one to three days a week.

Whether you’re easing into homeschool or looking for a more supportive school experience, GSDA is a place where learning feels connected. We are the kind of school that helps children thrive by meeting them where they are.

Families often share that our school helped their children rediscover joy in learning, and that’s at the heart of everything we do.

You Lead the learning, We Provide the Support

At GSDA, families take the lead in their child’s education. But we ensure that you don’t have to do it alone. Every family is matched with a credentialed teacher who works closely with you to build a plan that fits your child’s learning needs and interests.

We provide the curriculum, supplies, and structure. You bring the curiosity and care that only a family can offer, creating a student-centered, flexible learning environment.

Optional Student-Centered On-Campus Enrichment

Our students have the option to join us on campus for one to three days a week.  Available days vary by grade level: TK (½ day Wednesdays Only), K–3rd grade (1–3 days), and 4–8th grade (1–2 days). Our on-campus days are centered in outdoor education and exploration, from learning to grow and care for our community garden, to enjoying nature as our classroom on any given day. The campus experience is designed to:

  • Build friendships and social confidence
  • Practice collaboration, communication, and creative thinking
  • Spark interests through outdoor education and hands-on projects

We also offer field trips, school events, and family field days that connect learning to the world outside the classroom.
