My name is Brandi Turner, and I am excited to begin my fourth year with Greater San Diego Academy! I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of California, Santa Cruz and my Master’s degree in Education and Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from the University of California, Riverside. Before joining GSDA, I spent five wonderful years teaching kindergarten, where I developed a passion for literacy, social-emotional learning, and creating supportive learning environments. Today, I am grateful to serve our community as an Educational Consultant, Reading Difficulties Coordinator, and campus administrator for our Thursday enrichment classes. I am passionate about helping students discover how they learn best and partnering with families to support their academic, social, and emotional growth.

This year is especially meaningful as I also experience homeschooling from the parent perspective with my 5-year-old son, Parker. Being both an educator and a homeschool mom has deepened my appreciation for the flexibility, partnership, and individualized learning GSDA provides. I truly believe in our vision and mission and in creating educational experiences that recognize there is no one-size-fits-all approach to learning. Above all, being Parker’s mom continues to teach me patience, compassion, creativity, and the importance of seeing and celebrating every child for exactly who they are. I look forward to another wonderful year of learning, growing, and partnering with our GSDA families!
