Expected Schoolwide Learning Results (ESLRs)

3 C's and a PE!

 

ESLRs are a list of what students at GSDA should know and be able to do when they graduate. At GSDA, we have 4 ESLRs that we feel are important and align closely with our vision and mission. They are:

 

Communication

GSDA Students will communicate effectively through verbal and non-verbal means. They will:

  • Listen critically and respond appropriately to oral communication
  • Convey and interpret ideas (ex: written, oral, body language/gestures)
  • Compile and present data in presentation form
  • Use technology to communicate

 

Critical Thinking

GSDA Students will apply problem-solving critical thinking skills. They will:

  • Model mastery of state standards
  • Apply knowledge gained and synthesize information through activities such as research projects, reports, and presentations
  • Set and pursue appropriate educational and vocational goals individually and collaboratively

 

Community Service

GSDA Students will model good citizenship by making responsible contributions and decisions as productive members of society. They will:

  • Participate in community service
  • Learn about and participate in the Democratic Process
  • Demonstrate concern for the environment
  • Explore the interconnectedness of the individual and society
  • Learn how diverse political, economic, cultural, geographic, and technological forces have shaped the past, the present, and will shape the future

 

PE (Physical Education)

GSDA Students will learn the essentials necessary for a healthy, safe, and physically fit life. They will:

  • Understand the benefits of a lifelong commitment to health and fitness
  • Learn about good health, nutrition, and fitness in an effort to achieve a healthy lifestyle
