Our vision at GSDA is to support all students to rise to their personal best. We use personalized learning to support all students to reach maximum potential in an emotionally safe environment. Through this individualized learning plan, your child will grow to become a self-motivated, self-directed, lifelong learner.

Students in the K-8 Homeschool Program receive a one-of-a-kind education best suited to their learning modalities. As a public school, GSDA provides educational materials and personalized guidance at no cost to families. We provides flexibility in how we address goals for your child. Together, we design a program to best suit your needs.

GSDA’s K-8 Program incorporates the most current educational methods, combined with a variety of curricula, to allow families to create learning environments that meet each student’s individual goals. We capitalize on individual strengths and interests to foster the academic and social growth and development of your child.

In addition to the education you provide at home, each student is eligible to participate in enrichment opportunities provided by GSDA’s K-8 Program. Enrichment classes are offered at our campus in Jamul or online. These enrichment opportunities serve many purposes:  they expose your child to a variety of learning opportunities; help build a sense of community within our school, and allow your child to learn and practice important life skills such as effective communication and peer collaboration. To learn more about our most recent enrichment offerings see our latest class schedule here. Classes offered change each semester based on student, parent, and staff feedback.

By incorporating all aspects of GSDA’s K-8 Program, we will support all students to rise to their personal best to positively impact the world.
