About Us
In September 1999, the
Jamul-Dulzura Union School
District
opened the Greater San Diego Academy and authorized
it to serve students in grades K-8. Ninth grade was
added the following year followed by 10th, 11th and
12th. We now serve grades K-12.
The school was designed to improve services to existing independent study and home schooling students throughout San Diego County. Although proof of resid ency and inoculation records are required, it is not necessary to have an inter-district transfer from your current district.
Admission to Greater San Diego Academy is considered without regard to ethnicity, national origin, gender, disability, or achievement level.

• Orientation: Helping new students and parents understand traditions, regulations and programs offered by the Greater San Diego Academy.
• Information: Giving students information on educational opportunities, requirements and community resources.
• Counseling: Developing students' academic skills and knowledge commensurate with their maturity, observing and identifying problem of students, recording significant information about students, using the facilitation situation to foster individual adjustment and development, working with other Educational Consultants, parents and staff on individual cases, and/or referring students with special needs.
